Tom Crabtree has been interested in birds most of his life.  Although an attorney by vocation (Tom runs Central Oregon’s Public Defender’s Office) he has devoted a significant amount of time to his avocation.  He has been on the board of directors of three different Audubon Societies in Oregon; he has taught birding classes at Portland and Central Oregon Community Colleges and served for many years on the Oregon Bird Records Committee.  He is currently involved in a project to expand the ECAS website to include a complete Birding by County component for the State of Oregon.
