To reach Deer Creek Flats Road from McMinnville, travel SW on the Hwy 18 for 7.5 miles to the Bellevue area. Habitat and Birds
Watch for waterfowl and shorebirds in the flooded farm fields here in winter. The trees and riparian areas have produces species such as Cooper’s Hawk, Band-tailed Pigeon, Acorn Woodpecker, Winter Wren, Hermit Thrush, MacGillivray’s Warbler, Blackheaded Grosbeak, and Bullock’s Oriole. Watch for Savannah Sparrow in the grassy areas.
