Habitat and Birds

There is a nice half mile trail that includes both forested and open field areas. Late spring and summer birds can include Black-headed grosbeaks, Western Tanagers, Band-tailed Pigeons, Orange-crowned Warblers, Black-throated Gray Warblers, Hermit Warblers and Evening Grosbeaks. Year-round birds can include Black-capped Chickadees, Chestnut-backed Chickadees, Stellar’s Jays, Pacific Wrens, Red-breasted nuthatches, Red-breasted Sapsuckers and occasionally Red Crossbills.
