Location

From Enterprise take Hwy. 3 north 35 miles to Flora Junction. Proceed through Flora and follow signs for 13 miles including eight miles of very steep, narrow, gravel road to Troy. From the bridge over the Grande Ronde River, you can travel both north and south along the river.

Habitat and Birds

Habitat along the Grande Ronde River is a mixture of open pine forests, steep rimrock canyon walls and lush riparian habitat. Birds seen here during summer include Yellow-breasted Chat, Red-eyed Vireo, Gray Catbird and Black-chinned Hummingbird. In winter, Merlin, Common Redpoll and Bohemian Waxing can be found.
