Grass Valley is a small community nine miles south of Moro and fifty-three miles north of Madras on Hwy 97.

The birding here is the same as Moro. Look for migrants in the spring and fall and as well as several resident birds. Birds of interest include Violet-green Swallow, Olive-sided Flycatcher, Gray Flycatcher, Hermit Thrush, Nashville Warbler, and Lark Sparrow. A Black-headed Gull was spotted here in 1996.
