Location

Keizer Rapids Park is Keizer’s newest and largest park and consists of 148 acres. The multi-use park features a dog park, a volleyball court, a disc golf course and an amphitheater in addition to lots of good birding habitat along the Willamette river.

From I-5 just north of Salem take exit 260, and go west on Chemawa Rd to the park.

Habitat and Birds

Woodlands, brushy areas and open fields support a wide variety of bird life, including waterfowl on the river, and raptors and passerines in the wooded and open areas. Over 130 species have been recorded at the park.
