Location

From the southern edge of Corvallis, take hwy 99W South for 5 miles. Turn right on Greenberry Road.  Drive west for 2.3 miles and look for the sign to the winery.  Turn right and drive to the tasting area.  26335 Greenberry Rd, Corvallis, OR 97333.  This facility is only open during regular business hours so it’s a good idea to email Tyee Winery ahead of time to make sure they will be open.  You can send an email from their website below.  Remember to enquire about the trail brochure and the access to the wetlands and other areas.

Habitat and Birds

Oak woodlots and a marsh with a trail around it.  Enquire within about accessing the trail.  Black-capped Chickadees and White-breasted Nuthatches may greet you as you step out of your car.  Check the oaks for Acorn Woodpecker and Downy Woodpecker may turn up in the riparian areas.  The marsh may produce an array of ducks and geese.  Grassy areas may produce Common Yellowthroat. Savannah Sparrow, and Lesser Goldfinch.  Don’t forget to check winter sparrow flocks for Fox Sparrow and White-throated Sparrow.
