Location
From Hwy 38 in Reedsport, take Hwy 101 south 4.3 miles to Winchester Bay. Go right on Salmon Harbor Drive 1.9 miles, and turn right on paved road to access beach and jetty. Best birding is from the jetty. Go back along Salmon Harbor Drive to Ork Rock Rd; turn left and view the harbor and bay wherever possible. Several other small roads lead to viewing areas

Habitat: ocean, beach, river, conifers, boat basin, foredune, jetty rocks.
Birds: Alcids (Pigeon Guillemot nests at the crab dock), gulls, terns, Bald Eagle, Osprey, waterfowl, Wrentit, cormorants, grebes, shorebirds, herons. Best birding: Aug-Apr.
