Location

Portland Audubon Society has its offices and a nature store at this location, and they maintain trails on each side of Cornell Rd.  From NE 25th and Cornell Rd in Portland, head up Cornell Rd, go through 2 tunnels and parking is available on either side of the road.

Habitat and Birds

There are trails on each side of the road, one by the offices and nature stores and the other across the street in what’s called the Collin’s Sanctuary.  These offer typical forest birds and include Anna’s and Rufous Hummingbirds, Band-tailed Pigeons, Northern Pygmy-Owl, any of the areas 5 woodpecker species, Black-capped and Chestnut-backed Chickadees, Ruby-crowned and Golden-crowned Kinglets, Red-breasted Nuthatch, Brown Creeper, Pacific Wren, Varied Thrush and others.  The Nature Store has maps of the trails available.
