Habitat and Birds

Like most roads in Sherman County, Monkland winds through extensive wheat fields and provides the birder with opportunities to bird the scattered wild spots. Watch for both shrikes along this road. Check the Horned Lark flocks for longspurs in winter. Hawks and owls can be found along this road and migrant passerines can show up at Kenny Spring
