Location

From Moro, travel 2.2 miles south on Hwy 97 and turn right on Moore Lane. There is no need to go very far down this road. The big attraction here are the conifers around the house on the corner. This is probably the best chance for getting birds like nuthatches, creepers, or crossbills.

Habitat and Birds

Look here for some species that are particularly hard to find in Sherman County. Possibilities include Red-breasted Nuthatch, Brown Creeper, Mountain Chickadee, Cassin’s Finch, Evening Grosbeak, Dusky Flycatcher, Hammond’s Flycatcher, Olive-sided Flycatcher. None of these are likely but if you’re going to get them in Sherman County, it might be here.
