As an ECAS member you already know what a great bird club this is. I’m sure you have received a phone call or correspondence from one or more volunteers on the ECAS Membership Committee acknowledging your donation and welcoming you to ECAS. These are reliable and generous individuals and they work together like a fine-tuned machine processing ECAS memberships throughout the year.
Well, it’s time for a replacement opportunity. Having served as Chair of the Membership Committee for 13 years it’s time to hand this task over to another individual. Also, since moving to Eugene in 2020 this committee needs a chairperson who lives in central Oregon. I will remain at my position until the end of 2023 and will be able to orient the next leader to all aspects of our membership work. I am asking you to consider volunteering your time and your skills for the Membership Committee. If you aren’t able to help and you know of someone who might be interested in this position, let us know. The task requires just 3-6 hours/month, and a bit more when special events occur. There is a great support team to rely on with clearly written descriptions of how to do the various tasks of the Membership Chairperson.
